Madison Monthly Meeting of the
Religious Society of Friends

Who We Are

The Madison Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends was formed in 1938 from a group that had been worshiping since the 1920s. It is affiliated with the Northern Yearly Meeting, which is composed of monthly meetings in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, and North Dakota. We are also part of Friends General Conference, an association of 14 yearly meetings and 6 directly affiliated monthly meetings. About 120 members and attenders worship at our Meetings for Worship each First Day (Sunday), where child care and a First Day school is provided. We also offer additional opportunities for worship:

State of Society Report

Each year, our Ministry & Counsel Committee (which is charged with monitoring our spiritual condition) writes a State of Society Report which the Meeting approves and then sends to Northern Yearly Meeting. Northern Yearly Meeting is our regional 'umbrella' organization composed of over 30 meetings around the upper mid-west. To read the latest Report, please click here.
Monthly Meeting For Business

Quaker Business Process - In June 2005, the MMM Ministry and Counsel Committee produced a pamphlet describing our 'radically different' business process for conducting business.  It describes the process we try to use to strive for a 'sense of the meeting'.
